Taste of Summer


I admit it: I'm a watermelon addict. I've had watermelon every day since they came in season with the exception of two weeks (this being one of them) where I thought I ought to take a watermelon break. But, ah, I miss it! It is the essential summer flavor. I look forward to eating a slice every morning...

Any flavors that are particularly summery to you?

    YUMMY I love watermelons! Plus they're REALLY healthy for you (apparently my Nutrition classes are affecting everything I say)!

    i just had a bowl of watermelons. i love biting into that one piece of watermelon that's just bursting with sweetness :)

    I love watermelon... and just realized I haven't had any yet this summer!! I also love plums, and they remind me most of summer because I used to love them when I was little. Also, "creamsicles" will always remind me of summer :)

    I also love watermelon, but to me, coconut is the essential flavor of summer. One of our favorite new refreshments is a cojito - a mojito made with coconut rum. Very tasty!

    Lemon! I love a lemon slice in a glass of ice water. That's definitely a summer flavor for me.
