Tea for ... Me!

I absolutely love tea.

So much so, that for my birthday, I always ask for a new and different flavor. My usual go-to grocery store tea is Republic of Tea (and Harney and Sons has some amazing flavors too) but I have had two of these Octavia teas from Whole Foods (I got the Chocolate Mint for my birthday last Tuesday!) and, not only are they yummy, but the artwork on the tins is ga-or-geous! I'm looking forward to using the emptied tins for pencils on my desk.

What teas do you all recommend?

  7. I just started drinking green tea in the morning a few months ago, and am looking to branch out into other types. So far I've tried some green teas from Mighty Leaf Tea, and have enjoyed them. They have a wide variety of teas, in varying levels of caffeine and lots of different flavors, so I've just placed an order for a few flavors of decaf tea, hoping it will be a nice after-dinner treat. :)

  9. Oh my. I've been searching for a chocolate mint tea for some time now. I'm so happy you posted about this, Emma! There isn't a Whole Foods in my immediate area, but I should be able to obtain some sometime in the near future.

I like your idea of reusing the tins for pencils. Good idea! I've always imagined my future home to boast a shelf full of empty tea tins :)

Lately some of my favorite teas are Twining's Lady Grey, Tazo Chai, Ahmad Tea Chamomile & Lemongrass, and Yorkshire tea (usually available in the international food aisle at the market and sometimes at TJ Maxx).

  12. There is a quaint tea shop just north of New Orleans that i stumbled upon. They have a house blend called Paris - Black currant & vanilla with a hint of lemony Bergamot.. Its mild and oh so heavenly with a bit of sugar and skim milk.

Zarha's Tea makes a wicked chocolate chai. Its hard to get in Canada. But I discovered adding a bit of coco powder to my fave chai tastes just as good.
