Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear

One of the actual Brave teddy bear from here

Okay, so if you've been following me on Twitter or read my last post, you know that I went completely crazy over the movie Brave.  Forget about whether it is 'as good as a Pixar movie,' I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen - Pixar or not, animated or not - loved it.

Without giving away any spoilers or anything, bears feature quite prominently in the movie.  I know I'm a little big for taking a teddy bear to bed but here are some I saw that I thought I wouldn't mind sneaking in...

Dreaming of Scotland...

From here
I finally got a chance to watch Brave on Sunday and it completely blew me away.  It was touching, funny, exciting and I can't wait to go back and watch it again.  Perfect.  Sigh.

Anyways, part of what I loved about the film was the breathtaking scenery.  I've never actually had Scotland on my short to-visit list (it's on the long one, don't worry!) but after watching this, it's shot right up to my list, bumping off Pierce Brosnan.  Wait, wrong list.  Well, you know what I mean.

Here are some photos that will have you dreaming in glens and lochs too.

Have you ever been to Scotland?  Ever wanted to go?  Tell me!

Next Week...

Brave Trailer from SpineOut on Vimeo.

Okay, so I don't have any desire to watch dark, edgy superheroes or Alien prequels but I am SO excited about this movie out next week.  So. Ex. Cited.  Who else?

You've Got A Friend In Me

We watched
Toy Story 3 this weekend and I loved it! It was funny, clever, more suspenseful than pretty much any film I've seen recently, and completely sweet. It did that thing we always want sequels to do - allowed the beloved characters (and some new ones!) to grow and express themselves under a new story.

I also loved the opening short Day and Night - I found it amazing how integral the music and the sound was to the story. So brilliant!

Did any of you see it? What did you think?

P.S. Feel free to follow me! I promise only ever to lead you to bright, sunny places!
P.P.S. I have a brand, new original album out! If you download it and looooove it, please write a lovely review on the site from which you purchased it!

There Isn't Anything I Wouldn't Do For You...

Weekly Song Sketch

Photobucket

I haven't made it a secret that I love Disney and Pixar; one of the biggest reasons is the music. This song is one that I keep on my "Get in A Better Mood" playlist - Randy Newman is brilliant.

This also happens to be the birthday weekend of my dearest friend, someone even crazier about Disney and Pixar than I am. So, this song is for you: Happy Birthday!

If you would like a copy for yourself, please leave a comment (if it's your first request, please include your email).

Also, sometimes it's been taking a while to load up the song so if the play button doesn't work, just let it load for a couple minutes (read your daily horoscope or something) and then try again.

P.S. Feel free to follow me! I promise only ever to lead you to bright, sunny places!
