Learn How to Be a Multi-Platinum Artist in 17 Easy Steps

I taught vocal, piano and songwriting several years and thought that I might add a music lesson to my blog every once in a while.

What do you think of that?

And, are there any things in particular you would like to see/learn? The history of Baroque music? Analysis of why that one song keeps getting in your head? How to sing all night without getting hoarse? Why is it that you always crave Chick-fil-A on Sundays when they aren't open?

Although I have no idea about that last question.

Please, let me know your thoughts!

P.S. Feel free to follow me! I promise only ever to lead you to bright, sunny places!

  1. Ooh! All of these sound interesting! I'd especially love to hear an analysis of why music gets stuck in your head - that sounds fascinating! I always love to know about music history, so that sounds great to me too!

It's too bad you don't know the answer to the Chik-fil-A question because I'd really like to know that too.

  2. MAN I do always crave chikfila on sundays, it is terrible! I also always want to go to hobby lobby on sundays, which is closed AND right next to chikfila. So upsetting :(

I'm totally tone deaf but I'd love to learn anything you have to teach :)

  4. I'd love to see some posts with singing tips! :) I love singing, and I've always wanted to take professional vocal lessons, but I've never actually gotten around to it. So I'd love any sort of advice that you can give! :D

  5. I'd like to know what Chik-fil-A is. Also, I want to know why I can't carry a tune, and how vocal lessons would help. I don't think I'll take them, but I'm convinced I can't be helped and I'd like to hear how the process works.

  6. I would love this! I always wished I had a lick of musical talent. I do "music time" with the boys everyday in the hopes that they will fare better... =) And I get you on the Chick-fil-a thing.

  12. That's a lovely (and kind! gracious! and giving!) idea. I can't carry a tune in a tin bucket with help from the neighbors, but I love to listen!

  13. I think it's a great idea! It seems, from the other comments, that many people have questions....maybe you could also pick a reader question that's music related and devote a blog to the answer...

  15. I think that sounds like such a great idea! I'd love to learn more about music history, because I love history and my boyfriend is a musician too. He teaches piano right now and I never know what he's talking about! Also, what is Chik-fil-A?

  18. Oh sounds wonderful, what a genius idea! I'd like to know why people sing in the shower all the time :) Of course ever since I found out people could hear me outside the bathroom I stopped. That's probably a silly question, but it's always been in the back of my mind. Oh also I wanted to know when is the best time of the day for a singer, because I remember vaguely reading somewhere that this singer sang her best in the afternoons and I always wondered if the time of the day has to do with the quality of your voice. Sorry if my questions sound silly...they are, I'm sure.
