Oh, We Got Trebles!
Note (hehe!) cards from here, Clock from here, Bracelet from here
Growing up, I associated treble clefs with my eccentric piano teachers who seemed to have them on everything - cross-stitch samplers, brooches, Christmas vests - and as a budding pianist, I seemed to get more than a few things adorned with them for holidays and birthdays. Therefore, I didn't like them at all.
Now, however, I find their sweet little curves and curlicues endearing and even romantic. Treble clefs, which signify all notes from middle C up, are fashioned after a stylized G (the treble clef is often called "G clef) and, might I add, look rather stylish in these incarnations!
P.S. Feel free to follow me! I promise only ever to lead you to bright, sunny places!
i love the t-shirt!
ReplyDelete... despite taking piano lessons long ago, i never knew treble clefs were Gs ... I always thought they looked like an S :)

ReplyDeleteTreble bed! I love it. It seems you need to invest in some of these items.
ReplyDeleteTreble clef is so much prettier then bass clef- and as an oboe player, I defenitely prefer treble clef. TAD bit biased.
ReplyDeleteMy chorus teacher back in middle school was obsessed with having treble clefs on everything, so naturally I thought they were dorky! But now i think they're so pretty, and I actually almost bought treble clef earrings recently! :D

I have a pair of treble clef stud earrings that I got when I played the flute when I was younger. I thought they were so cool :) but they're still pretty.
ReplyDeleteI want all of these, especially the duvet cover - I would hear lovely music in my dreams

wow I just love the bracelet.
ReplyDeleteVery cute stuff! Haha, the things we appreciate when we get older! I always had eccentric music teachers growing up as well -- I was in choir throughout elementary school but actually quit twice (since it was an after school activity). :)
ReplyDeletewhat a cute t shirt!
ReplyDeleteI love that treble clef bracelet! I used to play the violin quite seriously before college, so I'm totally loving all the musical trinkets!
ReplyDeleteHaha I love treble clef items too! I never really thought about it as a clothing item/accessory, but that would be a nice idea. Maybe like a necklace, or that above bracelet is lovely too! I really like that ship one :)
ReplyDeleteOh that T! Love it! Treble clefs remind me of when I was little playing the piano too - I feel rather nostalgic actually when I see them now!!
ReplyDeleteThe tshirt is really cool, I would definitely wear that. I hope you have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI love treble clefs, they're so nice to write, all swirly and pretty. THe treble clef boat t-shirt is really cute, I want! If only I was more musical, I might have more occaision to use them!
ReplyDeleteThat t-shirt is terrific!
ReplyDeleteoh! my favorites are the bracelet, tee, and sheets! so lovely. and i've always thought treble clefs look more like the letter S than G. my boyfriend (his first and last name both start with S) is a piano player and he sometimes signs his name with treble clefs. haha =]
