Oh, We Got Trebles!

Photobucket

Note (hehe!) cards from here, Clock from here, Bracelet from here

Growing up, I associated treble clefs with my eccentric piano teachers who seemed to have them on everything - cross-stitch samplers, brooches, Christmas vests - and as a budding pianist, I seemed to get more than a few things adorned with them for holidays and birthdays. Therefore, I didn't like them at all.

Now, however, I find their sweet little curves and curlicues endearing and even romantic. Treble clefs, which signify all notes from middle C up, are fashioned after a stylized G (the treble clef is often called "G clef) and, might I add, look rather stylish in these incarnations!

  5. Treble clef is so much prettier then bass clef- and as an oboe player, I defenitely prefer treble clef. TAD bit biased.

  6. My chorus teacher back in middle school was obsessed with having treble clefs on everything, so naturally I thought they were dorky! But now i think they're so pretty, and I actually almost bought treble clef earrings recently! :D

  14. Very cute stuff! Haha, the things we appreciate when we get older! I always had eccentric music teachers growing up as well -- I was in choir throughout elementary school but actually quit twice (since it was an after school activity). :)

  16. Haha I love treble clef items too! I never really thought about it as a clothing item/accessory, but that would be a nice idea. Maybe like a necklace, or that above bracelet is lovely too! I really like that ship one :)

  24. oh! my favorites are the bracelet, tee, and sheets! so lovely. and i've always thought treble clefs look more like the letter S than G. my boyfriend (his first and last name both start with S) is a piano player and he sometimes signs his name with treble clefs. haha =]
