Recently, a very sweet friend of mine noticed that I didn't own a watch. He was an avid collector of watches and it truly bothered him that I didn't even have a little one. Although I explained I never really needed one, he went out and purchased me a watch with his own money (and being eleven, it meant even more) and gave it to me. And although this sweet gesture touched me a lot, I still have the hardest time bringing myself to wearing the watch (I promise I wear it whenever I see him, though!)!
For some reason, in my head, an ideal life would have virtually no schedules - I'd go to bed when I was tired, get up when I wasn't anymore, eat breakfast no matter what time of day it was and not have any pressing appointments to time things around. Kind of a hakuna matata life, maybe.
Unfortunately, that's not quite how my life is at this moment and I understand the need for things like flight schedules and dental appointments and such. But I was wondering if there were any others who feel the same way about watches and time. Any who feel completely opposite, I'd love to hear your thoughts too!
