In honor of Japan, I wanted to feature some of the amazing shops that are raising money to help with the tsunami/earthquake disaster in Japan. I love that these creatives took their time and talent to help others. Many of these people are just teeny operations so every sale counts and the fact that they are willing to give up their revenue is wonderful and brings hope!

So, feel free to go on a shopping spree this weekend! There are a lot of shops that are doing this - I simply searched "Japan earthquake" on Etsy to find some of these.

What Makes You Feel Loved?

Chocolates or flowers? Or a massage? Or getting your car's oil changed? There are a ton of ways to make someone feel loved. For me, I confess - it's all about the compliments. I'm an easy target for salesman - call me beautiful, like my eyes, laugh at my lame puns - I'll buy. I have had boys give me orchids, sing me songs and, though I may be touched, it really takes much less (or at least much different) to capture my heart.

A Month of Loooooove

I have decreed February a month of loooooove! All my song sketches will be lovealicious and my posts will be, umm, filled with love too! I've featured some of the loveliest lovey things I've seen lately for you to sigh and ooh and ah over.

I love Valentine's Day. True, I never celebrate it romantically except once in high school when my first boyfriend brought me a bouquet of white tulips and took me out to the Rainforest Cafe. The fact that he was gay didn't make it any less romantic.

Anyways, I know lots of people who find Valentine's Day a contrived holiday invented by greeting card companies but I am all for celebrating pretty much any holiday; one that celebrates hearts, love, candy and flowers is a sure thing!
